The contemporary AA 2 rosette restaurant complements the stylish ambience of this superb hotel and the modern British and European menu makes good use of local produce. An excellent Cellar Bar also serves lunch, snacks, drinks and cocktails from early until late most days.

Day membership of private leisure club with pool and discounted golf at local parkland course can be arranged and Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Ivy Restaurant: The award wining Ivy Restaurant has an established reputation within the major guide books as one of the best fine dining venues in the North of England. The menu is a mixture of modern British with French influences and there is a carefully chosen range of wines from around the world!

Seafood Bar: Enjoy some of the freshest fish and seafood in the county with a glass or two of chilled champagne, surrounded by murals of York's world famous Knavesmire Racecourse. The Brasserie: Converted from the old brick vaulted cellars, its unique charm and informality complements the light gourmet dishes and interesting wines at reasonable prices. The Brasserie opens most lunchtimes and early in the evening for dinner, making it an ideal venue for pre-theatre suppers.

From Leeds - via the a64 (avoiding York Centre). Travel East on the a64. Take the a1237 (York North & Thirsk). Continue for 5 miles following sign to Thirsk (a19). At the roundabout that intersects the a19, turn right (signposted York Centre a19).
Continue for 2 miles. The Grange is on the right hand side just beyond a footbridge. The car park is off Queen Anne's Road just past the hotel. From the South M1 and A1 Travel North on the M1. At junction 32, take the M18 link to A1 North. At junction 2 take the A1 North. Continue until the sign marked York A64. Then follow the directions as shown above. From the East - (Scarborough, Bridlington and Hull) Follow the A1237 (outer ring road) signposted to Thirsk. At the intersection of the A19 turn to York (City Centre). Continue for 2 miles.
The Grange is on the right hand side just beyond the footbridge. The car park is off Queen Anne's Road just past the hotel. From Selby - via the A19 Go into York and follow the inner ring road signs direction Thirsk A19. Continue round to the North side. When you reach the sign to Thirsk A19 pointing to the right, follow this road for 500 yards. The Grange is on the left hand side, just beyond a Zebra Crossing. The car park is off Queen Anne's Road just before the Zebra Crossing. From York Railway Station Turn left out of the station towards the Minster. Cross the River Ouse via Lendal Bridge. Turn left into Museum Street. At the A19 (Bootham) turn left. Continue for 500 yards, The hotel is on the left, just beyond a Zebra Crossing. The car park is off Queen Anne's Road just before the Zebra Crossing. York is under two hours from London and two hours from Edinburgh by train. The station is then minutes walk from the hotel.
