Running west from the High Street at Glasgow Cross, Argyle Street is one of Glasgow's longest streets and extends out to Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow's West End.

Originally named St. Thenew's Gait, it was renamed in 1751 after the Duke of Argyle. Though it was developed as a site for housing for 18th century Glasgow merchants, it is now one of the principal shopping thoroughfares in the city, housing some of its finest examples of 19th century shopping architecture, such as Argyle Arcade and the warehouse developments at the corner with Buchanan Street. It is also considered to be the financial hub of Glasgow.

From the M8 East Bound (for Edinburgh):
- Take the M8 East Bound for Edinburgh.
- Continue forward onto the M8 (signposted Glasgow - City Centre).
- Continue forward with the M8 (signposted Dumbarton, Kilmarnock, Greenock).
- Leave the M8 at junction 19.
- Turn left onto Stobcross Street / A814 (signposted A814 Clydebank, S.E.C.C.).
- Entering Glasgow, continue forward onto Argyle Street.
- Arrive at G2 8ND, Glasgow. No 350 Argyle Street is on the your left.

From the M8 / M77 West Bound (Glasgow International Airport):
- Keep right onto the M8 Motorway (signposted Glasgow M8)
- Keep straight, following signs for City Centre.
- At Kingston Bridge, keep in left hand lane and then leave the M8 at junction 18.
- Then merge onto North Street - A804 (signposted Anderston, Charing X).
- Entering Glasgow, at traffic signals turn right onto St Vincent Street (signposted City Centre West).
- At traffic signals turn right onto Newton Street.
- Branch left onto the A804 (signposted Clydebank, SECC).
- At traffic signals turn left onto Argyle Street / A814 (signposted City Centre West, Central Station).
- Arrive at G2 8ND, Glasgow. No. 350 Argyle Street is on the left.
