The Limes is a comfortable, friendly, family-run, late Victorian house conveniently located for the centre of York.

With a free, private car park, the non-smoking hotel has 8 rooms available, with 2 on the ground floor). The comfortable, wood panelled, licensed lounge bar features an open fire in winter. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the hotel.

Limes has a Silver Award as well as 4-star status. Children are welcome.

Room information

Is your stay a special occasion? Why not purchase champagne, chocolates or flowers. These items can be ordered prior to arrival or purchased in the hotel whilst staying (except flowers which must be ordered at least the day before arrival). Please ask for details and prices.

The price of a room includes a full English breakfast. Our menu includes fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals and orange juice.

Tourists information

We are most easily found by approaching from the A64 (York bypass).
Turn onto the A19 (York to Selby road) for York and we are a short distance along on the right-hand side.

Please make sure that you take A19 Selby and exit from the A64, not the A19 Thirsk.

Payment Information:
A credit card is required as a guarantee. There is a 5% charge for the use of credit cards. Debit cards are free of charge.

Check-in is not possible between the hours of 14:00 and 18:00 unless arranged directly with the hotel.

No one night bookings are available on Saturday nights. A minimum 4 night stay is required from 21 to 24 August, due to the Ebor Race Meeting in York. We also only accept 3 night bookings for public holidays.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.
Continental breakfast is not included and costs GBP 7.00 per person.

Parking: Free Public parking is possible on site.
