Welcome to The Meadfoot Bay, a charming former Victorian gentleman's residence, located 200 metres from the beach and 10 minutes' walk from the harbour.

This award winning, non-smoking guest house offers you a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with superb meals.

Run and managed by resident owners Chris, Caroline and Gary Waters, the Meadfoot Bay offers a truly home from home atmosphere, where a warm smile and friendly service are very much in evidence and part of the Meadfoot Bay way.

The guest house is situated just 200 metres from Meadfoot Bay, a delightful, unspoilt beach which holds the coveted EC Blue Flag for cleanliness, and where you can relax and watch the tide roll in and out. There guest house offers free parking for cars and operates a fully non-smoking policy throughout the building.

Room information

The Meadfoot Bay provides rooms to suit a wide range of requirements.
A number of rooms on the 2nd floor have either direct access to the garden or a balcony.
All of the rooms are individually furnished. All are non-smoking, and have a remote colour TV, an alarm clock/radio, a hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries.

Food and beverages

Lovely intimate restaurant offering delicious home-cooking using fresh and local produce wherever possible. 4 courses at a set price. We have a carefully selected wine list and a well stocked bar to compliment your meal. Dinner is served between 7pm and 7.30pm but guests must register with the hotel by 6pm on the first evening. Dinner must be booked in advance and is subject to availability. Please contact the hotel direct to make a booking.

Tourists information

From the North:
- Follow the M5 to Exeter and exit the M5 at junction 31 onto the A38 following signs for Torquay.
- From the A38 turn onto the A380 and follow this road into Torquay heading for the seafront.

From West:
- Follow the A38 from Plymouth, take the Totnes turning (A385) and follow signs to Paignton and then from there to Torquay.
- At the traffic lights at the sea front turn left, signposted for the harbour and Meadfoot (if travelling from Paignton you are already on this road. Keep going straight).
- Continue over the next set of traffic lights, turn left at the roundabout and continue past Hoopers and Debenhams.
- Turn left at the next roundabout (clock tower in centre of roundabout).
- Take the right lane at the traffic lights and turn right into Meadfoot Road (signs for Meadfoot Beach).
- Continue for a half mile (road turns into Meadfoot Sea Road at brow of the hill). The Meadfoot Bay guest house is on the right hand side as the road starts to go downhill.

Remarks

A credit card is required as a guarantee, we do not normally take a deposit from your card but we reserve the right to deduct a deposit of 10 GBP per person per night. If we take a deposit we will inform you by email at the time this is done.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children older than 14 years are welcome.
All children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is not included and costs GBP 8.00 per person.

Parking: Free Private parking is possible on site.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.
