Newly refurbished with history of over 130 years, Russell Court Hotel offers a good standard of accommodation.

The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from Reading town and main shopping centre, pubs and restaurants.

We offer a variety of rooms to suit your requirements.

Please note this hotel is under new management and is a non-smoking hotel. We cannot provide smoking rooms.

Room information

Ongoing improvements are being made to the rooms, but this will not disturb our guests.

All room are en suite and offer free Wi-Fi internet access. Some rooms have DVD players and Freeview TV. All twin, doubles and family rooms offer complimentary snacks. Ground floor rooms available, however cannot offer wheel chair access. Please ensure to mention at the time of booking if you want one of these rooms.

Food and beverages

A full English and buffet breakfast is served Monday to Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, a complimentary buffet breakfast is offered and an English breakfast for a supplement (over weekends only).

Area information

Russell Court Hotel is located in the heart of Reading town centre in Russell Street, we are approximately a 10-minute walk from the Reading train station and 5 minutes walk to the Reading town centre.

There are several bus routes available to travel to all directions in Reading. Our central location means you can reach Thames Valley Business park, Green park, International Business Park or perhaps Reading University within a 10 to 15-minute bus ride. Oracle Shopping Centre is approximately an 8-minute walk.

Tourists information

By Car:
- Leave the M4 at junction 11.
- Follow the A33 towards Reading town centre.
- At the 1st roundabout go straight ahead (you'll go past a trading estate on your left with B&Q and Comet).
- At the 2nd roundabout again go straight ahead.
- At the 3rd roundabout (approximately 1 mile/ 1.6 km) again keep going straight.
- After approximately 0.5 miles/ 800 m, at the traffic lights, the road will fork in 2.
- Please take the right fork (Peter Green Furniture shop on the left).
- After the traffic lights stay in the left-hand lane.
- At the next traffic lights (approximately 200 yards), go straight ahead.
- At the next set of traffic lights, keep in the left-hand lane and take the slip road (uphill and follow the overhead signs of M4 West and Newbury).
- At the top of the slip road turn left and join A4 (also called Castle hill).
- Travel for approximately 150 yards and approach the next set of traffic lights.
- Please move into the right-hand lane and turn right onto Tilehurst Road and turn right again (approximately 30 yards) into Russell Street.
- Russell Court Hotel is located approximately 100 yards on the right: 27 Russell Street.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 7 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is included.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Free Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed).
