The Chelsea is a quality private family run hotel, non-smoking, welcoming, peaceful, fully en-suite and conveniently situated within the seaside resort of Llandudno, near the Great Orme.

The hotel is situated at the foot of the Great Orme Country Park near the Victorian tram station, within 2 minutes walk of the beach, less to restaurants and main shops. The Chelsea also has the advantage of being one of few detached hotels in Llandudno and benefits from beautiful gardens, creating a unique atmosphere.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be well based for climbing (guide books available to view), walking, and biking.

Enjoy our full 4-course breakfast served in the superb Masonic Hall, with its wishbone-arched ceiling and original murals depicting Masonic history. Vegetarians are well catered for. Special dietary requirements can be catered for too; please inform when booking.

Celebration packages of wine, flowers, chocolates and personalized celebration cakes (2 weeks notice required for cakes) available by prior arrangement.

Hotel information

The Chelsea is a unique building with an interesting history. Formerly used as a Masonic lodge, original murals dating back over 150 years can still be seen in the dining room.

Built as a gentleman's residence in 1857, with an elevated aspect above street level, it provides a level of privacy and detachment from the hubbub of life whilst remaining very close to all amenities one could wish for whilst enjoying a break in Llandudno.

Room information

Rooms 1 to 4 are on the 1st floor. Rooms 5 to 8 are on the 2nd floor.

All 8 comfortable rooms are en suite, with TVs (some with digibox), complimentary toiletries and well-stocked hospitality trays.

Food and beverages

All rooms are ensuite, centrally-heated, light and comfortable, with a complementary beverage tray and remote-control colour television. Excellent four-course full cooked breakfast included in the price of the room and served in the Masonic Dining Hall at individual room tables.

Llandudno is the perfect base for exploring North Wales. With a wealth of activities, places to visit and so much sightseeing, not to mention the shopping, you will be lucky to fit everything in with just one visit.

Tourists information

Follow the A55 from Chester towards Conwy. Come off at the Llandudno exit and follow the signs to the town center. On arriving in town, take signs for the Promenade and proceed along it until the junction at the Cenotaph. Turn right so as to keep going along the Promenade and turn left at the roundabout into Church Walks. The Chelsea Hotel can be found on your right, just down from the Tram Station (look for the Red Telephone Box).

Remarks

The hotel does not allow children to be booked into rooms, if not accompanied by an adult, to ensure their safety. The hotel does do not accept children under 5 years of age.

Dogs must not be left in the hotel unattended.

As this building is in a conservation area and certain modifications cannot be made to the exterior, access to the building is via steps, so please consider carefully before booking accommodation that may be unsuitable for the infirm. Please note that we do not have a lift. We will, however, do our utmost to accommodate any guest that requires assistance.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel.
Maximum capacity of total guests in a room is 2.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
