The nearby business quarter lies adjacent to the shops and is home to many restaurants and bars. York and Wetherby racecourses are within a 30 to 45 minute drive away.

By car:
- Exit the M621 at junction 2 and take the A643 (Wetherby, Harrogate and York).
- At the next large roundabout, take the 3rd exit for the A58(M) and follow signs for the A65. The hotel is across the dual carriageway on the right.
