The hotel's 12 en suite bedrooms deliver the perfect level of comfort for relaxing after a long day of meetings or sightseeing. Please note that single and twin rooms are at the front of the hotel so there will be some traffic noise.

Area information

The Richmond Hotel is ideally located for anyone wanting to explore Scotland's capital city. Our hotel is just minutes from the city centre and the neighbouring area offers countless historical landmarks, galleries, museums and parks.

The hotel is situated directly across the street from the historic Carlton Hill, offering stunning views of the city and castle. Just around the corner are the lively Playhouse Theatre (one of Edinburgh's major theatres) and the Omni Centre's cinemas, restaurants and bars.

Tourists information

The Richmond is located within a 10 minute walk of Waverly train station and St. Andrew's Square bus station.

For guests arriving by car, there is on-street parking nearby (free on weekends) as well as a large car park just 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

Major bus routes are located just steps from the main entrance and taxis are available 24-hours a day from the hotel's front door.

There is free parking only at weekends starting Friday 17:30 until Monday 08:30.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first two nights will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge for extra beds.
Baby cots are not available.
All children from 6 to 8 years are charged GBP 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
