This privately owned and very popular, family-run Victorian guest house offers Scottish hospitality and is close to all major attractions.

Lizzie and Gary are natives of Edinburgh, and can share a wealth of information with their guests.

Experience the delights of staying in a traditional Victorian house with original features. Please be aware there is no lift, and rooms are located on the first and 2nd floors.

Please note we have no rooms on ground level. All rooms are reached by stairs.

Food and beverages

Our Victorian-style dining room provides you with a comfortable setting, with individual tables for breakfast. The room rate includes a full traditional Scottish breakfast. Continental and vegetarian options are also available.

Area information

Events in Edinburgh in early 2008 include the BUPA Great Winter Run (12 January). International rugby union takes place on 3 February (Scotland versus France) and 8 March (Scotland versus England).

By Public Transport
From the airport:
Take a taxi or the airport bus to the city centre. Take bus number 3 or 31 on the shop side of Princess Street to the 2nd stop in Minto Street. Walk forward to the traffic lights, then turn left into East Mayfield. We are situated on the right.

Payment Information:
Please note: a 3% charge will be added if paying by card. Money is not taken up-front, but your card will be authorised to confirm the booking. The guest house does not accept cheques.

Please inform the guest house of your expected arrival time.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the hotel rooms only and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.
