Hotel information
Donington Manor sits in the thriving village of Castle Donington on the Derbyshire-Leicestershire borders, less than 5 minutes' drive from Nottingham East Midlands Airport, the A50 and the M1 Motorway. This beautifully appointed Manor House was constructed in 1794 as a coaching inn on the main route from Nottingham to Ashby. It was originally named The Rawdon Hotel and was conceived and built by the Marquis of Hastings. Now a privately owned hotel providing a high level of service and intimacy, which is difficult to find in larger hotels. The AA rosette recomended resturant's resident chef, Jeff Cadden, is a master of all things unpretentious, wholesome and home cooked. He is also a firm believer in value for money, so you can enjoy a mid-week lunch or a 3-course dinner for a competitive sum. The restaurant has very loyal local following in Castle Donington and its surrounding villages, so please avoid disappointment by booking ahead. And don’t worry, Donington Manor may date from the 18th century but we have a 21st century attitude towards comfort and relaxation.
For weddings, functions and conferences, Castle Donington is perfectly situated right in the centre of the country and less than a 5 minute drive from both the M1 and A50, and Nottingham East Midlands Airport. All of the meeting rooms enjoy Wi-Fi access and natural daylight.

A short distance away, along the delightful narrow street called Apiary Gate is the old stone-built house which opened in Easter 2000 as the new village museum. For fast-paced action and great entertainment, try Donington Park (1 km/ 0.6 miles).
