The Menzies Carlton is renowned as one of Bournemouth's most luxurious hotels positioned on the famous East Cliff, with splendid coastal views. Restored to its former glory, the richly decorated reception areas and lounges retain a sense of grandeur.

Visitors to the cocktail bar will find a welcoming atmosphere, and the award-wining Fredricks restaurant serves the very best in English and international cuisine. In the evening we do find that ladies enjoy dressing for dinner, and therefore to comply with the wishes of the majority of our guests, we would be grateful if gentlemen wear a collared shirt and long trousers.

The spacious bedrooms have been attractively furnished to the highest standards, many enjoying views across the bay. The hotel also has a superior indoor leisure complex, and during the summer guests may also take advantage of the outdoor heated swimming pool set in the beautiful gardens. For corporate and private functions there is a choice of function suites and 2 executive boardrooms. Free car parking is available for all residents.

Food and beverages

Fredricks restaurant is renowned for its superb English and international cuisine. It has a very traditional atmosphere. (Please note: gentleman must where a collar and tie for dinner.) Dinner prices are from 29.95 gbp increasing to 37.50 gbp at the weekend.

From m3/m27 Bournemouth is approached on the a338, which leads onto Wessex Way. Follow the signs to the East Cliff and the sea front, where The Carlton is conveniently situated.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 20.00 will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 17.50 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
