Harry's hotel and acclaimed Harry's restaurant are renowned for high standards in terms of their facilities and service provided. Executive chef and co-owner Harry Hughes has returned to his home town after stints in various famous kitchens, including 5 years training with the famous Roux brothers. This is reflected in the demand for fresh local produce on all of the hotel's menus.

Room information

All rooms are en suite and a wide choice of bedrooms are available, from deluxe doubles to economy singles. All rooms contain colour television, direct telephone line.

Food and beverages

From the 23rd of December 2007, Harry's bistro restaurant will close permanently. It will now be situated at our other hotel: The Conrah, Chancery, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales, SY23 4DF. For booking please ring. Any vouchers issued for Harry's Bistro can be used at the Conrah Hotel. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

The restaurant, recommended by the 'Eat Well Wales' guide, is split into 3: a regular dining room, a strictly non-smoking room and a function room. The function room can cater for up to 50 people and it is advisable to book the restaurant, especially at weekends. The quality food is enhanced further by the front of house staff who help to create a friendly, warm and comfortable atmosphere. Harry has won a number of awards including the Royal Navy Chef of the Year, which he won even before he completed his training of 5 years with the famous Roux brothers.

Area information

The popular seaside town of Aberystwyth is home to the University of Wales and the National Library, both just 0.5 miles (0.8 km) away from Harry's hotel. Full details on local attractions are available from hotel reception

The hotel has only a very limited car park for 5 to 6 cars.

The hotel does not have a lift.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
There is no capacity for cots in the room.
